Background

 

HEDA (Human & Environment Development Association) is a non-profit organization, which envisages using Human & Environment development for sustainable economic development of Bangladesh.  Incepted in January 1996, HEDA obtained legal status under the Societies Act 1860 with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies, Bangladesh. Working with interfaces of all development use, HEDA thrives to build up itself as a multi-disciplinary organization.

HEDA Vision is the inspiring idea that is helping the poor all around the world to take control of there lives and the rapid evolution of socio-economic condition in the modern world is making people more and more concerned about their basic human rights.

Mission

 

HEDA is committed to safeguard and uphold the basic human rights which include sound environment and sustainable development. To integrate Human Environment with development process of Bangladesh.

HEDA maintains excellent networking with similar institutions both within and outside Bangladesh.

 

Achievements

 

Over the years, HEDA has acquired specialization in some areas like Human Rights, Gender Issues, Rural

Development, Urban Development, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of specific development issues.
